Liversidge commits future to NL Physio & Sports Performance

Established in 2010 by Practice Principal Chris Liversidge, North Light Physiotherapy has grown from offering 3 evenings and Saturday morning sessions, to being open 6 days per week, with 5 staff working within the different facets of the service. During this time, Chris’s career has adapted, from being a full-time NHS employee, to working part-time in the NHS, and sub-contracting to Yorkshire County Cricket Club, whilst providing more sessions at NLP, and expanding the service to incorporate a rehabilitation gymnasium.  In recent times, as the practice has grown, he has found it increasingly difficult to provide full commitment to these roles.  He has therefore decided to commit his future fully to North Light Physiotherapy.

In an exclusive interview given to North Light Physiotherapy, Chris said:

“It is with a heavy heart that I leave the NHS, after a 17 year spell. Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust have supported my development, and enabled me to realise a number of dreams, for which I will always be grateful. However, as the saying goes, a slave cannot properly serve 2 masters, and it has become clear the NHS chapter must come to an end.  I would like to place on record, my gratitude to the staff and patients there, who have made my NHS journey such a rewarding one.  But the chance to extend the contract we have with Yorkshire CCC, and develop the services we offer at NLP was a chance I felt I could not turn down, and I believe exciting times are ahead for the staff and patients/clients at NLP!  It’s a great opportunity to continue to deliver the high quality evidence-based services we provide, and expand the services we offer too!  We’ve got a brilliant group of staff, and our partnership with Star Strength and Conditioning creates a unique service in Huddersfield that I’m keen to see flourishing!”
